Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux rang in the new year in snowy Telluride, Colorado, alongside Jason Bateman and his family.

The famous couple and their friends spent 10 days in the quiet mountain town at a luxurious rental cabin, enjoying wintery activities during the day and relaxing at home at night.

“They went skiing during the day and stayed in at night,” a source tells PEOPLE. “They had a private chef and got to just relax and enjoy.”

While the Telluride Film Festival turns the town into an industry hotspot every September, it’s otherwise known for being a secluded getaway for celebs to escape the paparazzi on vacation.

“They like that Telluride is very private and quiet,” the source notes. “It seemed they very much enjoyed their quiet holiday in the snow.”

Aniston and Bateman are longtime friends and starred together in Horrible Bosses and Horrible Bosses 2. Bateman was also in attendance at Aniston and Theroux’s intimate wedding celebration and their honeymoon in Bora Bora.

The famous couple took time off from enjoying the slopes to post a cute selfie in their ski gear and reminded fans to get into the giving spirit over the holidays.
